I'm such a bum....

I posted in March, (yeah, people, March...), about needing glasses. Through the process of reading other people's blogs here and here and here, I came across a wonderful site called Zenni Optical. No longer is there a reason that we should be scalped overpriced when we need to purchase glasses. Zenni has glasses for everyone and I haven't seen any over $50.

Okay, so that's the recap. Here's where the bum part come in. I posted this on March 11th. I went to the optometrist on March 17th. I was told then that I needed could use glasses for when I'm driving. Not to a legal point where I'd require them, but just to make things easier. That was in March. It's August. I still don't have any glasses.

However, I am in the process of rectifying this situation. Last week, I revisited this lovely website, found some glasses, and purchased them. I'm expecting them in about a week. Hopefully, they'll come sooner! I'll let you know what I come up with though.

Five months? Good grief, I'm a bum.

I would be remiss as a daughter/sister/cousin/niece/friend if I didn't pass this wonderful site onto you, all 10 of you! A little bit of background.... I have recently discovered that I need glasses. I have never had my eyes check... yes I know, shame on me. Spare me the speech. But it has now become a necessity. There are a lot of other things in our lives that are in need of attention (read money) so that adding glasses/contacts to the mix just really stresses us out. And wouldn't ya know it! God is so awesome! One of the blogs that I read posted this link yesterday (Frugal Eyes). She orginally found it here (One Minute Muses). We're talking prescription glasses of good quality for $8! Yes, you saw that right.... EIGHT dollars! I mean seriously! How awesome is that!? Check out One Minute Muses and she'll tell you what she thinks about them. You've gotta check it out! Besides, what do you have to lose? For $8 you can afford to break them, lose them, dislike them. Through the research that I've done, because that's what I do, the cheapest I've found a pair of glasses is $150! I am getting contacts, I don't want to spend that much on a pair of glasses that I'm rarely going to wear! Even if I hate my little $8 pair, it's going to be a whole lot better than forking over that much dough!! Check Zenni Optical out and let me know what you find out!
